Hi, I’m Oakley

Oakley is a young, smart, and sweet girl who needs a home that can offer plenty of mental and physical enrichment each day. She should be welcomed indoors as part of the family, and may benefit from crate training to give her a safe space when she feels unsure or overwhelmed.
Having someone home for the first few days will help her settle, bond, and adjust to her new surroundings. Oakley is also unsure about close handling and restraint, which can make her anxious. Her adopter will need to go slowly, use force-free positive reinforcement methods, and include regular consent breaks during handling.
Oakley already knows how to sit and shake and would love a family who will continue her training, helping her work on four-paws-on-the-floor behaviours and impulse control. She's very food-motivated, so feeding through daily enrichment will keep her engaged and challenged.
A home with teens is recommended, though this may be flexible. All children must meet her at adoption and be involved in her training. Oakley has so much potential and will thrive with patient, positive guidance.
